WIN NAECO SWIM SHORTS WORTH £185
LUXURY TAILORED SWIMWEAR MADE FROM SUSTAINABLE FABRIC
British-made luxury swimwear brand NAECO (ocean backwards) is founded on a unique mix of stylish simplicity and sustainability. The new collection offers sustainable, high-quality, fashionable beachwear – all made from recycled ocean plastic. Each pair of NAECO swim shorts is made from 15 plastic bottles that go through a series of processes to make soft luxurious fabric. The NAECO brand was born out of a need to rid the ocean of plastic contamination being pouring into it daily. As an avid kite surfer and scuba diver, the brand's founder Zak Johnson has seen first-hand the devastation that plastic is causing to the ocean’s ecosystem. Mr Johnson says: “Over the years I have seen more and more plastic in the ocean that is spoiling the ecosystem. By investigating the two major issues of ocean plastic and the damage that the fast fashion industry has caused, we realised that we can make a product that not only looks great but also has a huge impact on our global environment while making a difference to everyone’s lives. Naeco symbolises what I believe the fabrics of the future should be and what I believe a luxury fashion brand of the future needs to be."
Using market-leading recycling methods, textile research and technology, NAECO created revolutionary fabrics that are re-born and repurposed for new lives as luxury clothing made to last. The material is then infused with state-of-the-art Nanotechnology to provide water repelling properties, resulting in swim shorts that instantly dry the moment you step out of the water. This process also offers far greater UV protection, longevity and stain repellent properties. Inspired by elegant British tailoring, these shorts have a timeless, tailored look and are designed and made in London. NAECO donates time, services and a percentage of its profits to help ocean charities and organisations around the world too.
